Council Highlights April 10, 2012 Meeting Richmond Hill to Celebrate the Importance of Public Works Council proclaimed the week of May 20 to 26 to be National Public Works Week (NPWW) in Richmond Hill and encouraged the community to visit the Public Works Open House being held on Saturday, May 26 at the Town’s Operations Centre. The Open House will feature the Healthy Yards event; a charity barbecue benefitting Hospice Richmond Hill and Hill House Hospice; as well as educational displays, information booths and heavy equipment vehicles that the public can climb aboard to see what it’s like to be in the driver’s seat! Other events include school tours of the Operations Centre (Tuesday, May 22; Thursday, May 24; and Friday, May 25) and the annual York Municipalities Public Works Challenge (Wednesday, May 23). NPWW is an annual North American event that the Town has participated in for the past 15 years.
