Who We Are The M.L. McConaghy Seniors' Centre offers recreational activities and events for residents who are 55 years of age or older and is operated by the Town of Richmond Hill Community Services Department. The staff at the M.L. McConaghy Centre invite you to drop by and become a member of our Centre, which in turn will entitle you to participate in a wide variety of activities.

Overview As a member of the M.L. McConaghy Seniors' Centre you will receive many special benefits, including the following:

- Priority Registration for all Seniors' Centre Programs and Special Events
- Free Seasonal Brochures
- Free Admission to Daily Drop-in Programs
Other activities and programs that are available to you include Badminton, Bingo, Bridge, Euchre, Cribbage, Fitness Programs, Dance Classes, Health Clinics, Snooker, Candlelight Dinners, Out-trips, and much more! An extra fee is required in order to participate in most of these activities.
Exciting Volunteer Opportunities The M.L. McConaghy Seniors' Centre also offers many different volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for friendly, energetic people to assist us with the operations of the Centre by volunteering some of their time. Current volunteer opportunities exist in the following areas: Lunch Program, Bingo Programs, Office Assistance, Welcoming Committee, Games Room Coordination, Dance Committee, and Fundraising initiatives.
New! Hiking Program Would you be interested in being a part of a Hiking Club? The McConaghy Centre has an active hiking group that will meet twice weekly to hike on trails in the York Region area. We will meet at the Centre at 9 a.m. and car pool to our destination. Hikes will generally be two hours in length, the degree of difficulty will generally be easy to moderate. Hikers will be encouraged to dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle and light snacks. Guests are welcome to attend once, before being required to take out a membership.
