Anyone wishing to purchase a tree for Celebration Forest for the fall tree planting should contact Parks Operations staff at (905) 771-8800.
The Celebration Forest program is open to all members of the community and involves the planting of trees in special commemorative groves in select Town parks including Phyllis Rawlinson Park. When a tree is donated, arrangements will be made to have it planted in Phyllis Rawlinson Park unless a different park is specified by the donor. Planting will be done in the spring or fall. Every donor will receive a certificate, suitable for framing, noting the dedication.
For the cost of $150, a tree can be purchased to commemorate any occasion, such as:
- birthdays
- anniversaries
- weddings
- in memory
As well, local community groups may want to donate trees on behalf of their organization as a special project or in support of Earth Day.
Trees provide many benefits to the community and your purchase will make a difference for years to come. Your tree will provide shade, a place for animals to live, and will help to clean the air. Your gift will live on for many years and celebrate a special event or the life of someone special.
